What time are services?
Each Sunday, we meet for a Traditional Worship service at 8:00, 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. There is a Contemporary Worship service at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. During the summer months (June through Labor Day), there is no 8:00 a.m. service.
What kind of worship music do you sing?
At the Traditional services, typically three hymns are sung from the Presbyterian Hymnal. At the Contemporary service, several praise songs are sung. The words are projected on a screen and led by the Praise Band.
Do you have childcare?
Yes. The Nursery is open every Sunday morning from 8:00 - 11:45 a.m. Parents will receive a beeper when they drop off their children, in case they are needed.
How do I become a member?
Three to four times a year, the church holds a New Member class. The class meets after worship on a Sunday or on a weeknight. During this time, you will hear from pastors and staff persons about becoming a Presbyterian, and what life at First Pres is like. If, at the close of the session, you decide to join the church, you can meet with members of Session in a brief meeting, and officially become a member of First Pres. New members are recognized in worship the following Sunday.
Is the church handicapped accessible?
Yes. There is an entrance at the far left of the front of the building with a ramp. Once you enter the building through those double doors, go straight ahead and the elevator is on the left, before the stairwell.
