The Faith Community Nurses are registered nurses who supply
medical information and offer emotional and spiritual support to members of the
congregation in need. They understand the interconnection of the body, mind and
soul. They recognize that prayer is a primary source of support, strength and
healing for all of God’s children.
The nurses are available to offer advocacy when requested.
They can suggest references to investigate specific medical questions. They
have access to community resources available for many different needs.
The Faith Community Nurses will coordinate transportation
for members of our church community. This is done for those people requiring
assistance in getting to doctor’s appointments, therapies, hospital visits or
any need that will improve the well-being of our parishioners.
The nurses are usually in their office on the first and last
Tuesday of the month between 11:00 and 2:00. They are available to check blood
pressures and answer any questions you may have. They are in the New Lounge
checking blood pressures on the second Sunday of each month, before and after
all worship services.
