Greg Stovell began serving First Presbyterian Church in 2010 after serving congregations in New Jersey and Illinois. Greg's background is in Electronic Engineering and Math, after which he was called to seminary and a pulpit ministry. Greg holds degrees from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (Masters in Divinity) and from McCormick Theological Seminary (Doctorate of Ministry in Preaching). His primary responsibilities are focused on preaching, teaching and sharing of the church's leadership with the Session and staff. "One of the greatest joys in my life is to see people's lives radically transformed by the power of God's Word," Greg said. Greg is married to Susie Stovell, who is a cake designer. They have 2 young children, Susie and Harry.

 

David is the Associate Pastor for Young Adults and Mission Outreach and began working at First Pres in 2004, previously serving as Minister of Music in Glendale, CA. David coordinates the Mission Outreach program, Young Adult programs and the Contemporary Worship service. “I most love seeing people make meaningful connections in faith and service. I love preaching and music,” David said. Growing up, David wanted to be a musician, because of the emotional connection he always had with music. He has been married for 23 years to his wife, Shalini, they have two children, Shaan and Sonali, and they live in Westtown. David loves to spend time with his family, especially “when we spend it someplace warm with an ocean,” he said. He also enjoys playing guitar, reading and watching the NBA playoffs.

 

About Elisabeth:

Elisabeth is the Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care. She began her ministry at First Pres in September 2006, having previously served as a hospital chaplain at the West Virginia University Hospitals. Elisabeth leads the congregation in their efforts to care for one another, and responds to the pastoral care needs of the congregation. She also assists in worship services and preaches on occasion, and administers the sacraments. Elisabeth loves helping others and being able to listen to someone else. She and her husband, Tom, were married in December 2003, and are the proud parents of Abby, who was born in August 2009.  When Elisabeth is not at church, she loves spending time with her daughter and husband.  She also enjoys exercising and gardening.
