The Special Giving Fund of First Presbyterian Church is the vehicle through which our congregation receives memorial contributions and gifts to our Endowment.
Often the church is remembered at the time of a loved one's death. When memorial contributions are received by the church, the donors are individually thanked by the church and the family of the deceased is given a list of those who made contributions. These funds are used for special purposes, such as supporting the radio broadcast of our Sunday morning worship service.
The church may also be remembered in a person's will, or a person may have established a life annuity trust with the church. Such gifts to the church are placed in the Endowment Fund. The income from the Endowment Fund may be used by the church as the Session deems appropriate.
