We've Reached Our Goal!

In the Summer of 2017, First Presbyterian Church became the grateful recipient of a generous gift from the estate of Maria Catanach (see the video at the bottom of the page).
Our Session, after prayerful discernment and through discussions with Maria's family and with John Milner Architects (historical preservation architect who designed our cupola) has approved the design a new sacred space (chapel) to be located in what is presently known as Herron Lounge.
The chapel will not only become a special place for small worship services, weddings, and funerals but will also serve as a flexible room for Sunday School classes, mid-week Bible Studies, meetings, presentations, etc.
In addition, our Session believes this presents a great opportunity for a much-needed update to our fellowship hall and vestibule. The video and images on this page illustrate the design of the new chapel, fellowship hall finishes, and new coffee area.
While Maria's generous gift to the church covers the full cost of the chapel construction ($150,000), we will need to hold a capital campaign mid-January for the balance of the project ($100,000 approx.) Details on the campaign will follow in the next few weeks. You can make an online donation now by clicking HERE.
Below you will also find a form which you can use to ask any questions and provide your feedback.
We are grateful for God's extravagant generosity!
