Meet our teachers
You will find our teachers are not only dedicated to their profession, but are also active members of our church and local community. All are parents themselves, with the majority whose own children attended The Bucket School!
Hi my name is Heidi Costa. I am so excited to be part of the team at the Bucket School. I received my degree in elementary education from West Chester University and my masters in reading from Arcadia College. I have taught in the elementary schools in the area and was a substitute for The Bucket School. My husband Michael and I have three children ages from 12-19. We have lived in the West Chester area for 18 years. We are members of First Presbyterian Church and all of our children are Bucket School grads. In my free time I enjoy exercising with our two dogs and volunteering for my children's school activities.
Teacher M/W/F 2's
Hello, my name is Carrie Simunov and I am looking forward to officially joining the Bucket School staff. My husband and I, along with our 8-year-old daughter, live in West Chester and are members of First Presbyterian Church. In the past, I have substituted and worked as an aide with Parents Morning Out. I have also served as a Bucket School Board Member and our daughter is a Bucket School graduate. I have dual degrees from Bloomsburg University and speak French fluently. I'm looking forward to teaching preschool French through songs and fun games. Being active is what I enjoy most along with, reading and gardening.
Teacher Pre-K/4 Day
Hello, my name is Liz Moffett. My husband and I have lived in the Borough for over 20 years and we have two children, James (10) and Lila (7). I taught for 9 years at Kennett Middle School and am so happy to be back in the classroom after taking some time off to spend it with my children. In my free time, I enjoy reading, volunteering for the Women's Auxiliary of Chester County Hospital and my children's schools, anything soccer related, and spending time with my friends and family.
